Challenge: Under resourced project with escalating scope. Tasked to bring the project to launch.
Result: Through project discovery a solid required roadmap to launch was established with a working prototype to bring the scope under control.
We were brought into this project to support the existing development team to bring the project to market with additional development resource.
Our team of consultants identified several opportunities to improve efficiencies alongside the original development support request. One key opportunity was to address the overall platform structure and rapid prototype a full model. This enabled a link between management and developers to fully understand the aims of each function within the platform and how it should interact.
This made the valuable developer resource more effective through better understanding and less rework. On the management side they had an effective channel to describe their exact requirements.
Having a 6 month roadmap to launch was then easily achieved from breaking down the prototype against the existing system and helped to move additional requests through to a post launch phase 2 list.
We had 4 developers working remotely with their in house team split between South Africa and the UK.
